The M6 Stage 1 project involves the construction of twin tunnels linking the M5 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.
In 2024, a subsidence event resulted in tunnelling works being paused around West Botany Street in Rockdale. Further ground improvement works to the area necessitated additional utilities works to be completed.

Involvement
Croí personnel were engaged to manage critical utilities scope and risk required for ground improvement works after the 2024 ground subsidence event. Key involvements included:
- Specialist advice on utilities scopes of work
- Subject matter expert input to commercial claims
- Utilities authority stakeholder management (Jemena, Sydney Water, Ausgrid)

- Delivered Jemena high-pressure gas main relocation ahead of schedule.
- Oversaw the delivery of critical utilities relocations required to enable ground improvement works at West Botany Street.
