Project Overview

The $5.5 billion project Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone in NSW is Australia’s first declared REZ, covering about 20,000 km2 around Dubbo and Dunedoo, and will deliver up to 6 GW of network capacity by 2038 to connect wind, solar, and storage projects to the grid.

Sydney Metro – City & Southwest

Project Overview

A 30 kilometre extension of metro rail from the end of Sydney Metro Northwest at Chatswood under Sydney Harbour, through new CBD stations and south west to Bankstown. The City portion from Chatswood to Sydenham opened in 2024 with seven new metro stations. The remaining Southwest portion featuring 11 upgraded stations is due to open in 2026.

Sydney Metro West

Project Overview

The Sydney Metro West Project (SMW) consists of 24 kilometres of underground rail and the development of 7 new stations between Westmead and the Sydney CBD, with a Maintenance and Stabling Facility at Clyde. Sydney Metro West will double the rail capacity between Parramatta and the Sydney CBD.

Ryde-Pymble Trunkmain No.3 (RP03)

Project Overview

The RP03 project involved the replacement of over 10 kilometres of DN900 water main from Ryde Pump Station to Wahroonga Reservoir in Sydney's northern suburbs, traversing heavily congested urban environments with thousands of existing utility interfaces.

Project Overview

Essential Energy is actively driving the expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across regional New South Wales through a series of innovative trials and strategic collaborations. The electricity distributor is focusing on leveraging existing network assets to provide cost-effective and accessible charging solutions, supporting the NSW Government's EV Strategy.

Canberra Light Rail

Project Overview

The Canberra Light Rail Stages 1, 2A & 2B projects have a combined project value of $1.3Bn, Canberra Light Rail Stage 1 is from Gungahlin to City which is 12 kilometres and 13 stations. Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A is from City to Commonwealth Ave which is 1.7 kilometres and 3 station and Early Works package – Raising Londen Circuit. Canberra Light Rail Stage 2B is from Commonwealth Avenue to Woden.

Sydney Metro – WTP

Project Overview

The Western Tunnelling Package (WTP) is a major component of the Sydney Metro expansion, delivering around nine kilometres of twin tunnels between Westmead and Sydney Olympic Park, plus two spur tunnels. Scope includes station box excavations at Westmead and Parramatta, mined tunnels and caverns, tunnel portals at Clyde Stabling and Maintenance Facility, shaft construction, crossover structures, ventilation and egress facilities, utilities works, road modifications, and the establishment of a precast facility at Eastern Creek.

Sydney Desalination Plant Network Expansion

Project Overview

The Sydney Desalination Plant Network Expansion (SDPNE) project seeks to enhance water resilience, mitigate risks, and augment capacity. Positioned as the inaugural project under the Reliable Water Supply program, SDPNE involves network augmentation required to transfer an increase of 250 ML/d output from the Sydney Desalination Plant into the wider potable water network.

River Torrens to Darlington (T2D)

Project Overview

The T2D Project is the final 10.5km section of Adelaide’s North-South Corridor, and will complete 78km of non-stop, traffic light-free motorway between Gawler and Old Noarlunga. When complete, more than 50% of the T2D Project will be tunnels.

Project Overview

The $6Bn Melrose Park North is a 30-hectare brownfield development in City of Parramatta. The development is adding approximately 6,000 units and retail shopping centre, community spaces and parklands to the previously zoned industrial site.

Digital Realty

Project Overview

Digital Realty operates more than 300 data centres across over 25 countries, providing secure, high-capacity infrastructure for storing and running IT workloads. One of these facilities, SYD11, is located in Erskine Park, NSW, and offers over 3,300 m2 of customer space. As part of a capacity expansion at the site, both SYD11 and the nearby SYD14 required an upgrade in electrical load capacity. This increase necessitated the installation of additional feeders, supplied by the local energy provider, Endeavour Energy.

M6 Stage 1

Project Overview

The M6 Stage 1 project involves the construction of twin tunnels linking the M5 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.

In 2024, a subsidence event resulted in tunnelling works being paused around West Botany Street in Rockdale. Further ground improvement works to the area necessitated additional utilities works to be completed.

Moorebank Logistics Park

Project Overview

The Moorebank Intermodal and Logistics Park (MLP) has direct rail access to Port Botany and will be an open access intermodal facility with a capacity of 1 million TEU (20ft containers) throughout per annum. This intermodal precinct is the largest in Australia and is a nationally significant infrastructure project helping transform how freight is moved around Australia.

Parramatta Light Rail – Stage 1

Project Overview

The Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 project involved extensive utilities management across a 12 km corridor in a densely serviced urban environment. The route intersected major water, gas, electrical, and telecommunication assets, requiring detailed service investigations, stakeholder engagement, and complex coordination. Utilities relocation and protection strategies were developed in collaboration with asset owners to minimise service disruptions and ensure construction feasibility.

Southwest Metro Errant and Hostile Vehicle Works (CIRA)

Project Overview

The Errant and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation project part of the Southwest Metro project will see the design and installation of treatment strategies on 15 bridges and 66 locations along the converted Sydenham-to-Bankstown Metro line. These protective measures ensure driverless Sydney Metro services are safe for passengers and that the 130-year-old corridor meets modern safety standards.
